Counseling Services

Roots & Wings Consulting is staffed by licensed therapists who provide individual, couples, and family counseling. Our therapists have years of experience working with diverse populations using evidenced based treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, Gottman Couples Counseling, and theraplay among others. We work with children from infancy through young adulthood, as well as adults, and have therapists with expertise in parenting, grief and loss, parenting special needs, childhood disruptive behaviors, attachment, suicide and self-harm prevention, marriage counseling, divorce with dignity, premarital counseling, anxiety, depression, family stress, and more!

Paying For Your Counseling Services

Roots & Wings Consulting offers several options for paying for your services including, insurance, your company’s employee assistance program, private pay, and flexible spending accounts. Please review the table below for important considerations using each option to determine the best payment method for you.

Your insurance company has a right to audit your entire record at any time. Your insurance company has a right to audit your entire record at any time. Your EAP company retains the right to audit your record at any time if you are in treatment voluntarily. If you were referred by your employer, the EAP company will request progress reports that they may share with your employer. No one outside of you and your therapist has a right to request your records.*Exception includes when therapy records are subpoenaed by court. Choice of Therapist

Must chose a therapist in your network. May chose a therapist in the network or pay a higher copay for an out of network provider. Must choose a therapist on your employer’s EAP panel. May chose any provider with any specialty you prefer. You may see licensed therapists, or a professionally supervised intern at a lower rate. May chose any provider with any specialty you prefer. Must verify with your FSA company whether you can be reimbursed for services provided by interns.

Length & Type of Treatment

Limited to number of sessions covered by your insurance company in the covered period, and your insurance company may mandate certain treatment modalities. Cost

You pay your insurance company’s copay, and your insurance company pays the rest. *If you have a deductible, you may need to pay the contracted rate in full until your deductible is met. If your therapist is in network, you pay only your copay. If your therapist is out of network and you have out of network coverage, you pay your therapist their fee, and submit a claim to your insurance company to be reimbursed for a portion.*If you have a deductible, you may need to pay the contracted rate in full until your deductible is met. You may pay the therapists full rate or a sliding scale fee as negotiated with the therapist. No one other than you and your therapist has access to your records. You may see any provider with any specialty for any length of time using any treatment modality that is reimbursable by your FSA. You may need to check with your FSA about reimbursement for interns. No one other than you and your therapist has access to your records, but you will need to submit a receipt stating the type and purpose of services to your FSA for reimbursement.
